The Vision of Community

Building a New University Center

Although classrooms and laboratories are critical to a student's formal education, informal settings are needed to encourage discourse and creative thinking and to promote strong, binding interpersonal relationships. A new university center is planned to provide this building block in the educational process.

New Ridgway University Center: $16 Million

• Create a new, much-needed facility that will serve as a gathering place for faculty, visitors and our increasing student body
• Fund a signature atrium that houses a welcome center for prospective students and their families, as well as visitors and fans attending the University’s athletic events
• Provide all-in-one convenience with a facility that includes conference rooms, large meeting areas, an information desk, café dining, recreation, an informal lounge area, an art gallery, a bookstore, ATM services, post office services, and administrative and student organization offices

Academic Facilities: $3 Million

• Continue to maintain, renovate and enhance the existing facilities in order to maximize their use, features and benefits
• Underwrite structural improvements and retrofitting when and where necessary

Harlaxton College: $3 Million

• Promote a global education as an integral part of the University curriculum in Grantham, England
• Maintain the grounds, manor and other facilities
• Provide unique programming and scholarships
• Expand the endowments for British studies courses and offer our faculty members professional development opportunities
